I plan on pursuing an MD-MPH. SBxCHL is a support group where we assist each other on our journeys to health professional school while ensuring we understand current inequities in healthcare and where these inequities stem from, in addition to making sure we give back to our communities.
I hope to become a family medicine physician one day. My experience in SBxCHL has solidified my answer to "why medicine". Our weekly discussions never fail to open my eyes to a new facet of healthcare and serve as a reminder for why I strive to become a physician.
I am studying to become a pediatrician. I also would love to have a MPH. SBxCHL to me is my extended family. My family, who is on the same journey as I am and just understands the struggle.
I am an ambitious young woman who works hard. My future aspirations are to pursue a career in medicine and public health. I value giving back to the community and mentorship. I hope to be a great service to not only the underserved people in my community; but a great service to the world. As a person who grew up in an underprivileged community, I want to give the younger generation a positive role model to look up to.
My goal is to become a physician (MD or DO) due to the experiences I have had with the healthcare system as a caregiver for my immigrant elderly parents. SBxCHL has given me a safe space to pursue my goals despite the multiple obstacles I have encountered on this journey. They provide invaluable support and have kept me grounded throughout the process. They have also allowed me to network with organizations that I otherwise haven't come across like Terra Firma and the 3K/Pre-k initiative.
My goal is to become a medical doctor. I cannot emphasize enough how much SBxCHL has provided me with opportunities in the short amount of time that I have been apart of the program. I am so grateful to be apart of a community of people who are working hard and pushing to become a doctor just like me.
Doctor (MD); Obstetrics and Gynecology is my current specialization of interest. SBxCHL means a safe space of support, respect, and shared paths.
My goal is to pursue an MD. As of now, I am preparing for the MCAT. SBxCHL is a like-minded family whose aims are to break the innate "conservative-ness" of medicine via peer support and peer-organized volunteering initiatives.
I hope to become a physician, a trauma surgeon to be exact. The emergency department is exciting and fast paced and I think it suits my personality.
My goal is to become a doctor in the future. I am not sure about specialty yet, but look forward to exploring my options.
